Through audience research, competitive analysis and brand auditing, a solid design strategy defines the message necessary to communicate a service or product's emotive benefits and features. It outlines the form and personality of the message and proposes tactics to implement this vision. The design strategy is usually formalized as a Requirements Document for large scale projects and consulting engagements.

Packaging design
After conducting audience research and competitive analysis, several prototypes of the package are developed and critiqued to ensure the product's emotional attributes and features are clearly articulated and differentiated.
